THE HOUSE

Doors open an hour before the first lot. Security on the night is contracted to ARES. The Los Santos Police Department and the Sheriff's Department hold standing invitations, and have never once declined them. Make of that what you will.

Come with money. Come with nothing else.

THE RULES · THE HOUSE KEEPS FOUR

1. Carry sufficient cash to participate in bidding.
2. All bids are final and binding.
3. Respect the auction process and other participants. Disruptions will not be tolerated.
4. Unauthorized access to the stage or restricted areas is prohibited and will be handled by security accordingly.

(( Failure to pay may result in action as per the scam rules. ))

THE HOUSE'S CUSTOM

Most of you will leave this room lighter than you walked into it. The house considers it only fair that fifteen of you do not.

Fifteen times through the night the bidding will stop and a name will be read from the podium. No conditions. No favours owed. The house simply prefers a room that remembers it kindly.

Be in your seat when your name is called. The house does not chase people down the hill.

Server Optimizations

Based on player feedback, we've been tracking sync / lag issues that primarily occur when large groups of players (60–70+) cluster in the same area during busy point and turf wars. After gathering data on the bottlenecks, we've made a series of server optimizations over the last couple of weeks.

These optimizations range from adjusting the server's technical settings and sync configurations to implementing numerous script-based optimizations. Together, these changes help reduce the strain on the server, resulting in faster processing and higher responsiveness.

This is an ongoing effort aimed at improving performance during heavily populated events. We expect a significant improvement under these conditions. The results so far have confirmed our expectations, but we will continue monitoring the server's performance to identify areas for further improvement.

Famed Applications Open

The Famed Applications have been reopened! The Famed usergroup is for players who have been recognized by the community as widely known members.

The application system uses a point-based vouching system:

  • Management vouch: 5 points
  • Assistant Management vouch: 4 points
  • Head Admin vouch: 2 points
  • Senior Admin vouch: 1 point
  • Famed Member vouch: 1 point

Once an application reaches 13 points, it will be reviewed by Management for final approval. If approved, the applicant will receive the Famed usergroup and access to the private Famed forum.

Points are deducted when an Admin or Famed member votes no or removes their vouch. If an application reaches -8 points, it will be automatically denied, and the applicant must wait until the next Famed opening to apply again.

Points do not stack. If a person vouching for you belongs to multiple groups, only their highest point value will count. For example, a user who is both Head Admin and Famed would give only 2 points.

You may submit a Famed application by clicking here.

UPDATE: Famed Applications were reclosed on May 27th.

The point-based vouching system is only a guideline and may be overruled during the final Management review, for example if you are Famed for the wrong reasons, inactive, frequently break rules etc.

Old School & Vintage Changes

With immediate effect, the following changes have been made to the Old School & Vintage statuses:

  • The original Vintage group is now called Old School 2017 and is for anyone who joined in 2017.
  • The new Vintage group keeps the same name, but is now for anyone who joined in 2018.

Old School and Vintage members share a private forum section where they can reminisce about the past and reconnect with old friends.

This is what the usertitles look like now:

These changes have been made as a token of appreciation and recognition for those who have remained dedicated to the community over the years. Activity throughout those years will be a key factor in determining whether you are accepted.

Applications are handled privately, so you will only be able to see your own application. Responses will be provided by Old School and/or Vintage members, depending on the type of application, who can verify whether the player was actually active back then. The application will then undergo a final review before a decision is made on whether the status will be granted. By using the collective memory of Old School and Vintage members, along with logs, forum join dates, screenshots, and videos, we hope to award these statuses to all players who truly deserve them.

A happy new year to everyone! We hope you had a great time during the holidays!

14 Years of Horizon Gaming

Fourteen years ago we began our journey and had the grand opening of our great community on January 5th, 2012. We set out to provide a new home for those who wished to enjoy SA-MP as we do, and even fourteen years later, we continue to provide that to anyone who wishes to have fun with us here.

It has been a long journey, and it is a truly remarkable achievement for any community to stand strong for nearly a decade and a half. It is amazing to see what we have achieved as a community over the last fourteen years, but more importantly, we all share a history together, have made memories that can never be forgotten, and built friendships that will last a lifetime.

It is with great pride and joy that I congratulate you all and wish you a happy 14-year anniversary. May there be many more years to come!

Long live HZG!

14 Year Anniversary Events

Event Area & Minigames

In celebration of the 14-year anniversary, there is an event area at Verona Beach that will host a total of six minigames and remain active until the end of February.

You can claim a prize once per paycheck by completing / winning one of the minigames.

You will also find some festive decorations throughout Los Santos!

Minigame #1: Anniversary Maze

A minigame that involves figuring your way out of a maze with several moving parts that you'll need to get past. Once you make it to the end, you'll be able to claim a prize.

Minigame #2: Anniversary Jungle DM

A deathmatch minigame where there can only be one winner! Every five minutes, a round can be started if there are enough participants.

Minigame #3: Shooting Range Minigame

The Shooting Range Minigame is a competitive minigame that can be played with up to 8 players. The objective is to be the first to shoot the target. The person that shoots the most targets, and thus has the highest score, will win the game and get a prize! New rounds will start when there are 8 participants or if 2+ participants have been waiting for 5 minutes.

Minigame #4: Anniversary Hopscotch Minigame

Based on a game from the Squid Game series, contestants must jump across tiles and make it to the other side to claim their prize. However, some of the tiles are not solid, and falling down eliminates you from the minigame.

Minigame #5: Anniversary Climbing Minigame

A brand new climbing minigame, where the objective is to climb your way to the top to claim a prize. But be careful, there are several moving parts that complicate the road to the top, and if you fall down, then you will need to start over!

Minigame #6: Anniversary Grove vs Ballas Minigame

Step into Grove Street and fight the classic battle between Grove and Ballas in this team deathmatch minigame. Eliminate the enemy team, and your entire team will win a prize!

Double XP Weekends

There will be a Double XP Weekend every weekend (Friday to Sunday) in the month of January.

This basically means that you will get 2 respect points instead of the regular 1 respect point per paycheck and that you will be able to level up all jobs twice as fast (2 skill points). We hope you will take this opportunity to invite over some friends so that they can get a head start in the game, while of course also making use of the opportunity yourself.

Other Events & Giveaways

There will also be several admin hosted events throughout the next couple of weeks, where many great prizes can be won.

Be sure to also check out our social media, as many prizes will be given away there too!

Building off the success of last year with the San Andreas Sheriffs' Department (SASD) and their gang counterpart The Blueberry Outlaws, Game Affairs in conjunction with Faction and Gang Management have made the decision to, again, have a new faction and gang within Red County. This time around things will be a little different. We want you, the community to help us design and implement the brand new faction in time for summer.

We have capacity for the usual law enforcement agency, or capacity for a non law enforcement government agency so your ideas don't all have to be law enforcement based. They do however, have to be legal and work within the current established faction system.

NOTE: This is not an application to lead the new department however if we go ahead with your idea it is likely we would ask you to help us bring it to life.

We are excited to see what players come up with and can't wait to make more summer memories!
If you have some amazing ideas we'd love for you to share them with us to help decide what faction we will bring to life this summer! All answers can be shared on this brainstorm

We ask that the Ideas Brainstorm thread is kept to just that. Any comments that are not ideas / related will be deleted to ensure we don't miss anything ground breaking. However we do welcome and all comments on this announcement post.

If you would like a format to follow you could answer the following questions:

  • What’s the faction idea?
  • Why is this concept different to factions already in game?
  • Do you have a backstory of the faction?
  • How would this proposed faction interact with a Red County based gang?

Best Wishes,
